A little explanation on the name: there are shoes... lots and lots of shoes in this couples life and house. One would commonly assume that these shoes belong to the female in the relationship, but no. My fiance is a shoe addict - not stilettos or wedges - basketball shoes, nike tennis shoes, used professional sports shoes, etc.
Senior Prom - I wore Nike's, he wore Jordan'sWhen I met him this was one of many things I found interesting - we were 17 and seniors in high school. After having similar friends for most of junior high and high school, we were forced to be in FOUR classes together. He was passionate about his shoes and basketball, I was passionate about my grades and being an ultimate nerd. That semester cemented our fate.
At a birthday party in 2007
Since high school, we attended college together, graduated, traveled to visit each other in Dallas and London, and moved back to Houston together to start our first real jobs.
On March 31, 2009, Mr. Nike proposed in Central Park while we were visiting NYC. Like any true Grey's Anatomy addict, my answer was "seriously... seriously" and finally an excited "yes." Now we are a little less than six months out from the wedding, and planning/blog reading is an obsession.
The day we got engaged in Central ParkI am looking forward to sharing all the tiny details of wedding planning and getting tips from fellow bloggers and wedding obsessers!
